AISI No. 685 is a nickel-base, austenitic, precipitation-hardenable alloy. It has excellent tensile and stress-rupture strength to 1400 F and high resistance to corrosion and oxidation at temperatures at least to 1600 F. It is used widely in airframe assemblies, gas turbine engines and missile systems.
