TIMKEN CBS 1000M is a specialty carburizing steel for service up to 800 F in bearings, gears and other components used to transmit power. It is ordinarily supplied vacuum melted for bearings, gears, and other heavy-duty items. For other less stringent applications, it is standard practice to supply CBS 1000M vacuum degassed.
