VERTI-COR Welding Electrode is a new, continuous tubular steel welding electrode with a powdered-metal-and-flux core; gas shielding and slag are used to protect the molten electrode and weld metal. The VERTI-COR Welding Electrode is used for all-position welding and is a member of the FLUXCOR* family of electrodes. It is used to deposit typically 1.6 to 1.9% manganese steel weld metal that is tough and has tensile strengths in the range 80,000 to 97,000 psi, depending on composition of the shielding gas.
