BETHSTAR 80 steel plate is a new high-strength product with an 80,000 psi minimum yield strength. It attains this strength in the as-rolled condition through the combination of a low-carbon microalloyed chemistry and controlled (proprietary) processing. It offers substantial cost savings when compared with quenched-and-tempered steel plate. BethStar 80 plate can be machined, formed and welded readily. It is used in several constructional applications and has the potential for many more applications.
