ASTRALLOY-V is a very deep hardening nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy steel that combines excellent hardness, toughness and wear resistance. It is hot formable without property loss and cold formable at high strength levels. The steel has good elevated-temperature properties. Applications which are based on wear resistance include dragline buckets, wear strips for continuous mining equipment, grizzly bars, drag chain and coal hopper docks.
