Carpenter 21-55N Valve Steel is an austenitic nitrogen-bearing chromium-nickel-manganese alloy which offers an excellent combination of high temperature strength and corrosion resistance for exhaust valve applications. It is widely used as the head material in two-piece valves for internal combustion engines. It is also finding increasing use for one-piece valves in automobile engines.
