CYCLOPS 17B is a lower carbon modification of nickel-chromium austenitic stainless steel Cyclops 17A (SS-8). It is non-magnetic and has good general corrosion and heat resistance. The lower carbon content makes it more adaptable for sheets and plates where high ductility is required for stamping and pressing into fabricated parts. Similar to A.I.S.I. Type 325.
