UHB Stainless 44L is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant steel with a duplex structure of about 40% austenite in a ferrite matrix. It is produced with extra-low carbon content for good weldability and good resistance to embrittlement and corrosion induced by carbide precipitation. It has excellent stress-corrosion resistance and an optimum combination of strength and toughness.
