AL Tech 6X is an austenitie (non-magnetic) alloy developed for service in pitting environments containing chlorides. It was designed for resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion encountered in seawater, pulp and paper manufacture, petroleum refineries, chemical process equipment and sour oil-well components. Alloy 6X also provides good resistance to general corrosion in a number of media. It possesses good ductility, high impact values and good weldability.
