ARMCO A-286 is a precipitation-hardening austenitic Ni-Cr-Ti-Mo iron-base alloy that is especially useful for applications requiring high strength and oxidation resistance up to 1300 F (704 C). It has excellent notch-ductility. Its low magnetic permeability makes A-286 valuable where high strength, nonmagnetic and corrosion-resisting characteristics are desired.
