JS Alloy 2205 has a microstructure of approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite. This duplex structure provides excellent stress-corrosion cracking resistance in chloride and hydrogen sulfide environments. The alloy has about twice the yield strength of standard austenitic stainless steels.
