Avesta Sheffield SAF 2304 is an austenitic/ferritic duplex stainless steel with high tensile strength, impact toughness with good workability and weldability. The alloy has high resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and good resistance to pitting, crevice, and general corrosion. It has higher thermal conductivity and a lower coefficient of thermal expansion than austenitic stainless steel.
