UCI-170 (HL) is similar to HK material, but additional chromium provides better resistance to hot gas corrosion, particularly sulfidation. This alloy is used extensively for tube supports, hangers, and tube sheets. Alloy UCI 170 (HL) also possesses high-temperature strength, useful for service where excessive scaling must be minimized.
