UGIMA 4570 is a resulfurized grade with calcium added. The steelmaking is carefully controlled and produces a composition with low-melting-point oxides, which produce a lubricating effect during machining. Gains in the cutting condition of 30 to 70% are typical on computer numerical control (CNC) lathe or classical machine work. The alloy is similar to UGIMA NSU but contains additional copper.
