Armco 321 is an austenitic nickel-stainless-steel with the carbon stabilized by titanium for welding and elevated temperature service. It is useful when the weldment is not annealed after welding. This alloy is nonmagnetic when annealed but is slightly magnetic when cold worked. It has excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, possesses high creep strength, and may be used at temperatures up to 871 C (1600 F). Titanium is added to this alloy to impart substantial immunity to intergranular corrosion.
