AL 332Mo alloy is an austenitic stainless steel with relatively high chromium and nickel levels for strength, and corrosion and oxidation resistance. The alloy contains a moderate addition of molybdenum for resistance to aqueous corrosion and of manganese for resistance to oxidation in air containing water vapor. A small amount of niobium (columbium) is added for resistance to sensitization and resultant susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.
