RMI 5A1-2.5Sn is an alpha titanium alloy. It is not hardenable by heat treatment. The relatively high aluminum content gives the alloy good strength characteristics and resistance to elevated-temperature oxidation (up to 1100 F). RMI 5A1-2.5Sn is readily weldable.
