CANNON-MUSKEGON A-2 is a high-carbon air-hardening cast tool steel with excellent non-deforming properties and abrasion resistance in the quenched and tempered condition. It has good machinability in the annealed condition. A higher silicon content is permissible in this cast steel than in AISI A2 (wrought) tool steel.
