SIMONDS M-2 is a general-purpose high-speed steel with excellent resistance to abrasion and shock. It is a molybdenum-tungsten type of high-speed steel and is not particularly susceptible to decarburization. Its many applications include lathe tools, gear cutters, thread chasers and circular saws.
