CYCLOPS S1 (formerly Alco M) was originally developed for chisel and pneumatic tool purposes. It is now used for many other cold and hot work applications because of its outstanding toughness and resistance to fatigue. It gives excellent results in those instances where shock and impact are major factors. It may be carburized for those applications where high wear resistance and great core strength are required. Its many applications include shear blades, rivet busters and forging dies.
