ELECTRITE CO-6 is a high-speed steel of the 6 molybdenum-6 tungsten type to which 9% cobalt has been added. This cobalt addition increases the red hardness and permits a retention of greater cutting hardness at elevated temperatures. It is designated as SAE-M36 and AISI Type M36.
