GSN is an oil-hardening, DESEGATIZED* high-carbon high-chromium die steel developed for high wear and abrasion resistance. It is outstanding among non-deforming oil-hardening steels, holding size almost as well as high-carbon high-chromium air-hardening die steels. It is used on specialized applications such as draw dies, forming rolls, powder-metal tooling and lamination dies.
