ATMODIE is a high-carbon, high-chromium, air-hardening tool steel. It has a unique combination of hardness, toughness and non-deforming qualities. Its hardenability is high enough to develop full hardness through large sections; this makes it outstanding as the heavy-duty die and cold-forming tool steel, excellent for blanking heavy sheet and plate. ATMODIE is particularly useful for long-run tools and dies requiring close dimensional accuracy in hardening.
