AL TECH B-47 is a chromium-tungsten-cobalt-vanadium steel with excellent resistance to shock and abrasion at elevated temperatures. Its good hot hardness enables it to handle many hot-work jobs without washing out or changing size. B-47 has very good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures where typical applications include extrusion dies for brass, hot-punch tools and forging-die inserts.
