MOLITE 42 is a molybdenum-type super high-speed steel. It has a well-balanced composition designed to give superior performance when used for difficult machining operations. It can be heat treated to a hardness level of Rockwell C 68-70 giving excellent red hardness while maintaining moderate toughness. MOLITE is especially recommended for tools used in the machining of high-strength steels, prehardened steels and exotic ferrous and non-ferrous alloys such as are used in aircraft and missile work. It is also recommended for ordinary machining jobs requiring long production runs.
