NJZ ALLOY No. 1 is produced from high-grade, high-purity zinc with additions of lead, cadmium and iron. It gives excellent deep-drawing performance because of a combination of low hardness and strength, high ductility and very little tendency to work harden. It can be formed readily by conventional processes including spinning and its applications include such items as deep-drawn cans and jewelry.
