This standard1 sets forth the requirements for probabilistic risk assessments (PRAs) used to support risk-informed decisions for commercial light water reactor (LWR) nuclear power plants2. Unique requirements are specified as needed for specific reactor designs.
Sections 1, 3, and 5 of this standard generally mirror the analogous information in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/American Nuclear Society (ANS) PRA Standard, ASME/ANS RA-Sa-2009 [1]3. In cases where deviations from that document are believed to be of particular interest, these deviations are underlined.
