1.1 This specification covers carbon and low-alloy steel castings having chemical analyses similar to those of the standard wrought grades.
1.2 Several classes are covered and are designated by chemical composition as shown in
Table 1.
1.3 Options for tensile properties are shown in
Tables 2 and 3.
1.4 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in nonconformance with the standard.
