1.1 This classification covers temper designations for copper and copper alloys-wrought and cast. The temper designations are classified by the process or processes used in manufacturing the product involved and its resulting properties. It is not a specification of copper and copper alloys.
1.2 The property requirements for the tempers are given in the applicable product specification.
1.3 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
