1.1 This classification system covers requirements for plasticized cellulose propionate thermoplastic compounds suitable for injection molding and extrusion. These compounds have a propionyl content of at least 38% and an acetyl content of not more than 9% and may or may not contain dyes and pigments. Recycled plastics based on cellulose acetate propionate are not covered in this classification system.
