1.1 This specification covers two classes, five types, and four styles of paper hand towels for purchasers, such as governmental agencies, school boards, and industry.

1.2 This specification covers virgin, recycled, and recycled content paper products (see X1.2).

1.3 The values stated in either inch-pound or SI units are to be regarded separately as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.

Note 1-As appropriate, reference the following test methods: Test Method D828; and TAPPI T404, T410, T432, T456, and T494.
