1.1 This specification is intended to provide a basis for identification of non-removable permanent coatings and fixatives as a long-term measure used to immobilize radioactive contamination, minimize worker exposure, and to protect uncontaminated areas against the spread of radioactive contamination. 1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.
