This ATIS Standard provides a description of Multicast as a means for distributing content across two Content Distribution Network (CDN) Providers. It describes the advantages of Multicast use over Unicast Cache distribution methods. It also identifies the types of content suitable for Multicast and describes various Multicast configurations that can be deployed for distribution over multiple CDN Provider domains. Finally, it derives Use Cases that describe: 1. Generic Interconnection Processes to Enable Multicast between Primary and Supporting CDN Providers and the supporting Requirements. 2. Specific Multicast Interconnection configurations and scenarios and their supporting Requirements
