This document was generated to address the need for standard wireless text messages. Currently, some Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) screen formats provide space for Automatic Location Identification (ALI) text messages and the text messages are used to alert the call taker of a unique condition. As PSAP equipment migrates to full screen display and emergency event data is delivered in XML format, it is likely the use of ALI text messages will increase. As a result, this document seeks to define the various wireless triggers and conditions for these standard text messages (e.g., ALI cannot communicate with MPC/GMLC, or ALI did not receive a response from the MPC/GMLC, etc.)
