Growing uses of UE devices in mixed environments are driving the desire to identify a customer?s location beyond the standard latitude / longitude as used today. Emerging technologies providing indoor RF coverage as well as coverage in RF challenged areas requiring a small signal footprint are evolving to incorporate additional location information. There is no common standard for including supplemental location data, if available, for delivery the ALI database so a PSAP can access and utilize the information if the PSAP has available tools to do so.
