This document describes the ordering process used for the purpose of requesting vertical service. Vertical Services are optional services, as defined in the provider¿s state tariff that may be added to an end user¿s basic dial tone service. Vertical Service Ordering Guidelines may be used with the following Local Service Ordering Guidelines (LSOG) Practices: Pre-Order Process Transaction Guide ATIS/OBF-LSR-120; Customer Service Inquiry Preparation Guide ATIS/OBF-LSR-122. VSOG Issue 3 enhances the vertical service ordering process by introducing a third industry-developed practice containing guidelines for the Provider Notification process, a new form and definitions for field entries on that form.
