This document outline a recommendation for the use of TCP/IP as a generic transport for Electronic bonding (EB) Gateways as proposed by the ITU-T in standards Q.811 and Q.812. This document is intended to be a recommendation to be used for any application level gateway. Some of this gateways includes, EDI, CORBA or CMIP at the application layer.
