This standard outlines the parameters for the precise & accurate preparation of treating solutions and treated wood products for the quantitative chemical analysis of 3-Iodo-2-Propanyl-Butyl-Carbamate (IPBC) and Permethrin (PER) by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Solid-Phase Extraction (SPE) is used to concentrate the trace levels of preservatives to allow standard PDA-UV detection without the need for Mass-Spectroscopy (MS) detection.
