This Standard specifies a method for the laboratory evaluation of treated or untreated cellulosic material for its resistance to subterranean termites. As described below, either a single choice (also referred to as a "no choice") test and/or a two choice test procedure can be used for each material to be tested. Since specific information can be gained from each test, it is recommended that both tests be run. The main objective of the method is to be a screening test for treated material and further evaluation by field methods is required.
