This specification covers bare and composite metal cored and compositestranded corrosion-resisting chromium and chromium-nickel steel welding electrodes and welding rods.lk2T hese filler metals include those alloy steels designated as corrosion or heat-resisting chromium and chromium-nickel steels, in which chromium exceeds 4 percent and nickel does not exceed 50 percent.

Notes: No attempt has been made to classqy all grades of filles metals within the limits of the above scope; only the more commonly used have been included. The values stated in U.S. customary units are to be regarded as the standard. The SI units are given as equivalent values to the U.S. customary units. The standard sizes and dimensions in the íwo systems are not identical and for this reason, conversion from a standard size or dimension in one system will not always coincide with a standard size or dimension in the other. Suitable conversions encompassing standardsizes of borh can be made, however, if appropriate tolerances are applied in each case.
