This manual defines the physical requirements of a welding instruction facility. It is intended to give guidance to institutions that desire to build or convert facilities to train welders to produce welds using the manual and semi automatic welding processes commonly found in industry. In addition, this guideline provides a list of equipment and supplies that are normally needed to facilitate training and the welding operations themselves. This guideline does not purport to be all-inclusive. Modifications should be made to this guideline to best accommodate the facilities and budget of the institution that is implementing a welding instruction program.
