FOREWORD

Bulletin 16 reflects the product standardization efforts of the RWMA Technical Committee and Subcommittees. The participants included Regular Member Companies, Associate Members and other interested parties.

This document is not intended to be a consensus standard limiting the range of resistance welding products or processes in the market place. Bulletin 16 is a harmonization document created through the efforts of the RWMA to minimize random product variation. This bulletin does not encompass the entire range of North American "standard" resistance welding products. Where several variations exist in the market, the participants have formulated a standard design based on the perceived "best practice".

The new format for Bulletin 16, 3-ring binder, will allow timely revisions and updates to be made as technology advances become known. The RWMA welcomes input on any issue relating to the design, manufacture and application of resistance welding components, equipment and processes.
