The Electronic Operations Performance System (e-OPS) allows an organization to
monitor and improve the performance of its core utility business operation. Operations
data from other systems (i.e. SCADA, CMMS, LIMS, FIS) are significantly enhanced
when placed on the Internet. An e-OPS provides access to a consolidated view of
operations data through a Web browser. Additionally, in conjunction with an ASP site or
using a server on the Intranet, e-OPS connects any staff member having the
appropriate security/password with the organization's database at the click of a button.
Quick, easy, and reliable access to standard reports and easily customizable report
templates are available through this one application and the Internet/Intranet. Data is
automatically manipulated, analyzed, and stored through the e-OPS.
An e-OPS can be designed for any organization to eliminate many ongoing data management problems and includes these features:
provides easily customized operational reports, regulatory report templates, and data
retrieval/historical reports;
offers analysis of operational data through charting, statistics, and statistical process
control;
generates reviews of comparative utility benchmarking data; and,
produces performance measurement information to create an organization's
performance dashboard or scorecard.
