This paper presents the drought mitigation measures contained in the Southern
Nevada Water Authority's Drought Plan. The paper includes a review of the conditions
that have lead to drought in the Colorado Basin, as well as some important issues related
to SNWA's water resources picture. The author presents the reasoning behind the
drought level triggers and how supply status is tied to these. Finally, demand reduction
measures are detailed as they appear in the plan with comment on each section provided. Includes 5 references, tables.
