regulating chemicals in drinking water
(MCLs, MCLGs, PHGs, and ALs);
perchlorate risk assessment;

status of perchlorate standards. Specific topics focused on in the paper include: perchlorate risk assessment on the thyroid gland; feedback mechanism of
thyroid hormones; perchlorate effects; inhibition of thyroid uptake of iodide; evaluation of iodide uptake
inhibition in the Greer et al. (2002) study; critical endpoints
