This slide presentation outlines information on case studies in Kin-Men County, China, of water treatment plants (WTPs) with high dissolved organic carbon (DOC) in the water. Characterization of source water included:
three major WTPs;
lake water
(stored rain water);
R.T. ~ 6 months;
high DOC;
low alkalinity;
high Cl - and Br -; and, highly eutrophic. Topics covered include: water quality in study area; treatment processes using conventional treatments with slow sand filtration; haloacetic acids (HAAs) in Water Treatment Processes -
