This slide presentation outlines information on East Bay Municipal Utility District's (EBMUD) project to upgrade the Claremont Water Supply Tunnel in order to maintain service after a moderate earthquake, and to maintain lifeline service after a magnitude 7.0 earthquake. The project overview included: 1,570-foot-long permanent bypass tunnel; repair and grout existing tunnel; 2-year period of construction; and, winter tunnel outages.
