This slide presentation outlines an assessment of the risks and benefits of energy management options for drinking water utilities. Key themes and objectives include;
covering risks as well as benefits;
broad array of energy management options;
demand side (energy consumption);
supply side (energy acquisition / generation);
adopt water utility perspectives;
consistent with PWS mission & constraints;
useful Risk Management Framework (demystify); and,
making it real and useful (pragmatic, case
studies). Two primary case studies of
Tampa Bay Water and
Cucamonga Valley Water District are outlined.
Other participating utilities
will serve as more modest case studies
(vignettes), and
