This slide presentation outlines a study on implementation tools for household water treatment and safe storage (HWTS) technologies in developing countries, based on research conducted in Kenya in January of 2005. The "tools" included: Implementation Organization Survey
for program implementation and evaluation,
primarily a data collection tool;
Technology Selection Tool,
primarily for program implementation and
uses data collected from Implementation Organization
Survey; and,
Mapping Tools,
geographic representation of data collected
for implementation and evaluation. Research specific to program implementation: to develop an implementation/evaluation survey to be
utilized primarily for evaluating the effectiveness of
currently implemented HWTS technology programs; amd,
to develop a technology selection tool to aid in the
selection of appropriate HWTS technologies in local
communities of developing nations. Results of the implementation organization survey are outlined, along with the technology selection tool. Includes tables.
