preventing Contamination during
Production, Transport, and Storage of
Treatment Chemicals; and,
Storage Example: Sodium Hypochlorite
(controlling perchlorate formation). Conclusions of the study included:
ensure the chemical manufacturer as well as the
distribution point are certified to NSF 60;
limit contamination from transport by requiring
dedicated containers or inspection of wash-out
tickets; and,
limit contamination during storage by following
mfrs instructions and/or AWWA Specifications. Includes figures.
